If it’s going to happen, it's going to happen. During the filming of a Polish television show named "Zakup Kontrolowany", reporter Adam Kornacki changed places with local actress Malgorzata Socha behind the steering wheel of a Maserati Gran Turismo.
Even though the man was careful not to hit the door on the bus that was standing beside the car, he didn't figure that the truck driver would take off at an angle slamming the Maserati's door.
Watch how it happened in the video after the jump.

MTV's "Jackass" television series showed us that there's really no limit to what some people may do for some attention and better ratings, which is why we're going to take the following incident with not a grain, but a bucket load of salt.

It's been a long time since I last played Gran Turismo but with the release of the GT5 XL Edition I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought the game, and well, you know how these things go. The PS3 controller turned out to be fun for about 2.3 minutes and then I ended up getting a Logitech G27.
Sure there are many other notable steering wheel, pedal and shifter sets, namely from Fanatec and Thrustmaster, but the G27 is perhaps the best bang for your money as you can often find it in the US$210-$230 region, occasionally even less.
Upon receiving the G27, that little tuning voice in my head told me that I should customize the stock steering wheel and shifter.
You can find plenty of modifications for the G27 online (GTPlanet is a good place to start) with aftermarket steering wheels and shifters (i.e. Momo or Sparco), but I wanted something different and at the same time, more economical with the ability to easily reverse the mods without damaging the device.
So, after shopping around at eBay, I decided to go with a BMW theme for both the steering wheel and the gear knob.

Drifting a lightweight, rear-wheel drive coupe like the Toyota 86, which is Japan's version of the North American Scion FR-S and the European Toyota GT 86, on a wet parking lot can be loads of fun just as long as you accept the increased risk of losing control.
Which is what happened to one of the drivers trying out the 86 at a parking lot in Odaiba, Japan, last Friday on March 9.
Fortunately for the driver, he didn’t hit the metal barrier hard thus reducing the damages to the car. If you want to see what happened, head past the break for the video.

The 2012 edition of the wacky Gumball 3000 rally is almost upon us as the event, which will see contestants driving some 3,000 miles from New York City to Toronto and from there to Los Angeles in seven days, starts on May 25.
Among the many participants is Team Autogespot from Holland that will run in a rare Ferrari 599 GTO.
The limited edition Italian supercar, which is powered by a tweaked 6.0-liter V12 engine churning out 670-horses at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 620Nm (457 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm, is dressed up in a rather awkward looking vinyl wrap with cart-postal-like automobile pictures.
Perhaps the lovely Dutch ladies posing next to it in the videos that follow after the break will succeed in deflecting your attention away from the wrap.

The Fiat brand is slowly abandoning the banal Jennifer Lopez ads for its 500 city car and moving towards sexier and cheekier spots like the overly successful "Seduction" clip featuring Catrinel Menghia with some 8.3 million views on Fiat's Youtube channel and "House Arrest" with Charlie Sheen and Catrinel Menghia that has garnered around 1.8 million views in two weeks.
Coinciding with the broadcast debut of "House Arrest" this evening on local and national TV stations as well cable channels, is another new commercial for the 500 named "Baby".
The new 30-second ad shows two young men in the front seats and a baby boy in the back pulling by a 1967 Imperial, at which point the toddler joins his fingers in the traditional Italian way and says something to the stunned driver (our Italian readers can help with the translation).

Carved in Limestone: Cadillac Dealer Accuses GM of Breaking Federal Law by Withholding Incentives

This past January, Norman Braman, a billionaire owner of auto dealerships, filed a lawsuit against General Motors at the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. Brenan accused GM of 'two-tier pricing' in implementing its Essential Brands Elements program.
According to a report from Automotive News, on March 6, Braman’s attorneys modified the lawsuit, claiming that GM has violated not only Florida law when it stopped paying incentives at his Miami Cadillac dealerships, but also the federal Robinson-Patman Act.
“Are we back to the old philosophy ‘if it’s good for General Motors, it’s good for the country?” asked Braman. “That philosophy died a long time ago. This whole situation has just reached a point where dealers have to do something about it," he added.
